Punjab National Bank (PNB) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Internal Ombudsman. Interested and eligible applicants should apply through the official website- pnbindia.in. The last date for submission of applications is February 22, 2025. The recruitment drive is intended to fill two posts

“This appointment is purely contractual in nature for a fixed period of three years and he will not be eligible for re-appointment or extension in the bank. After the expiry of the contract period, his appointment will automatically terminate. There is no need to issue a communication from the bank to terminate the contract after this period,” the IBPS notification mentioned.
Salary:-
The selected candidates will be paid a monthly salary of Rs. 1.75 lakhs for the period of their employment, subject to any applicable tax deductions.

Selection Method:-
Selection will be based on personal interaction/interview (online or in person). However, the Bank may decide the selection method based on the volume and breadth of applications received. The number of candidates to be shortlisted will be decided by the Bank on the basis of their qualifications, experience, general suitability or any other criteria decided by the Bank for interviews.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the selection process and mere submission/eligibility does not guarantee eligibility/invitation for the next round of selection. The Bank will determine the qualifying marks for the interview. One of the shortlisted applicants is expected to take immediate charge of the Internal Ombudsman post, while the other will take charge on an interim basis from July 1, 2025.
However, the Bank may exercise discretion in this matter and its decision shall be final.
